His car, a White Chevrolet Impala that had strobe lights built in to the dashboard and roof, as well as specialty decals indicating it was a K-9 unit vehicle.
And the creme-de-la-creme was the plethora of law enforcement paraphernalia which was discovered inside of Tony’s would-be undercover police car…
This genius drove right into the driveway of the home of real world Palm Bay, Florida Police Officers with his lights flashing, got out of his vehicle donning his “Handler” shirt, with his dog, which was wearing a tactical style vest and leash and walked right past two marked Palm Bay police cars to get to the front door.
They officers inside of the home looked outside, saw a guy dressed in police tactical gear and who had a canine with him. The officers inside were torn as to whether they were ignoring a real officer or staving off a phony so they called 911. In the interim they asked Tony who he was and why he was there, only to be told that Tony was “with Homeland Security”.
Real world cops showed up promptly, detaining and Identifying Tony who, in fact, has nothing to do with Homeland Security and instead is a licensed paramedic with Sunstar Paramedics in Pinellas County, Florida (who has since been suspended from work). Not withstanding his appearance Tony did not have any weapons on him, and he was arrested for attempted burglary and for impersonating a police officer during the commission of a felony.
Memo to Anthony Ottaviano: There is nothing wrong with wanting to be a cop. I get it. It’s a childhood fantasy that some folks are privileged enough to live out and others simply get to imagine. But sane folk limit their fantasies to imagination, and “smart criminals” think through and plan out their crimes beforehand. Wtf were you thinking when you rolled up on that house? Didn’t the marked squad cars give you any pause? Any cause for concern? Please do not expect a MENSA card to arrive any time soon in the mail, although you might get yourself one of these….
