Purchaser of Foreclosed Florida Property Gets More Than He Bargained For… On Tuesday, November 5th, 2014, 61 y/o William Wilson bought a Cape Coral, Florida home in a foreclosure auction for $96,000.00.  That’s the faded… Scroll down to read more!

On Tuesday, November 5th, 2014, 61 y/o William Wilson bought a Cape Coral, Florida home in a foreclosure auction for $96,000.00.  That’s the faded pink house below:

Prior to purchasing the home he had seen the house from the outside, noticing its overgrown lawn and rusted iron gates on all doors and windows.  On Wednesday (November 5th, 2014) William went to his newly acquired property prepared to trim-up the hedges, mow the lawn and take a look inside. When he entered he found a literal stinky mess, which included a human corpse on the bedroom floor.

William described what he saw by saying that “You couldn’t tell who it was… You couldn’t tell if it was a male or a female… it’s disappointing and a sad thing that nobody cared enough to check.”  He said that all that remained were bones, skin and the smell of decay (which, interesting, none of the neighbors noticed, not even the next door neighbor who had been parking one of his cars in the driveway for years as no-one seemed to be around to mind).
The body is yet to be identified but it is believed to be the previous owner, an elderly quiet Latin lady who had moved into and lived in the Cape Coral home but who hadn’t been seen by any of the neighbors for years.
Cops on scene found unopened mail dating back to November, 2011 and tax records indicate that that was also the last year that property taxes had been paid.  Police records reveal that the cops were at the house at least twice in 2013 (January 29th and April 28th, 2013), both times where “the zone officer was checking a vacant home on his beat”.
Wow.  That poor woman.  Apparently she had no one who knew or cared.  What a lousy way to go. If you are lucky enough to have family, please stay in touch, even if indirectly, or infrequently.
