Revoked DL / Suspended DL / Responsibility to Report Other People / Underdog / Dudley Do-Right / AVVO / Michael A. Haber, Esq. **ARRESTED / **305DUI
Q: How can I find out if someone’s driver’s license has been suspended or revoked and still drives anyways? I have looked at this person arrest record that dates from 2004 -2008. And he has been arrested 5 times. 4 of those arrests were driving under the influence with I think maybe 2 or 3 times while his license has been either suspended or revoked. Although this person has wrecked his last car it was still drivable until it finally croaked. He does however drive other people’s cars and he also drives with his two daughters in the car more than occasionally. This is in the state of Florida. I am concerned about the girls. I have heard that this was considered child abuse. And wondered if would be my responsibility to report it.

Answered . Unless you are either Underdog of Dudley Do-Right it is not your responsibility to save the planet. Still, if you have reasonable fear for the safety of yourself or for others then you are free to contact law enforcement. Just remember that the adage “no good deed goes unpunished” exists for very goo reasons (it is typically best for folks to mind their own P’s and Q’s and not involve themselves in other folks’ business).
