Another NFL Arrest in FL: NO Saint Brian Dixon Charged with Resisting without Violence for his Belligerence during a Miami Beach Traffic Stop Yet another NFL athlete is arrested.  This time it is the New… Scroll down to read more!

Yet another NFL athlete is arrested.  This time it is the New Orleans Saint’s Brain Dixon, mugshot below ….

Dixon was arrested by Officers of the Miami Beach Police Department and charged with a misdemeanor count of Resisting Arrest without Violence after a routine traffic stop for his alleged belligerence (he also earned a couple of traffic infractions / citations for his douche baggerous scooter operation).

Naturally Dixon claims that he was not being belligerent and that he was only stopped by cops because he is “a black man with dreads”.  MB Police, on the other hand, claim that the stopped Dixon because he was traveling down the center of the road on Saturday night, March 28th, 2015 at around 11.20 pm in  busy South Beach, passing other vehicles and swerving on his white scooter.  Cops claim that when Dixon, aged 24, was stopped and informed of his traffic violations he became “belligerent and started to yell”.  Dixon reportedly asked police if they were serious about ticketing him and claimed he was only making a U-turn.  He then allegedly yelled “Just give me my ticket so I can get the f**k out of here.”  Because of his “imposing size, stature, and weight, as well as the defendant’s agitated state” Officers ordered Dixon to sit on the curb, but Dixon allegedly refused, taking a “bladed” or fighting stance toward a female officer.  Dixon was placed under arrest with the assistance of ”several other spring break units”.

Per the police report Dixon stated: “Let me go…. You’re just doing this because I’m a black man with dreads and I look like a criminal.  I’m not a criminal.”  He allegedly added that “I give so much to this community. [and] I’m an NFL player.  Let me call my agent.”  After posting his $1,000.00 bail and his release from jail Dixon took to Twitter (no doubt seeking to mitigate his earlier idiotic / entitlement behavior) stating that “It hurts to know that I wasn’t causing no trouble and was fully cooperating (insert “sad face” here).”

I was not there and I do not know what happened but I do know this…  1) As a 305 resident there is little more annoying than f’ing scooters on local roadways.  For whatever reasons it seems that once someone gets on their scooter they almost universally believe that the rules of the road do not apply to them.  They zig zag through traffic (stopped or moving), blow through lights and stop signs, fail to yield and take offense when vehicle operators display the nerve to try to drive.  2)  Many a pro athlete suffers from the same entitlement, inflated ego, self-importance mentality.   When I do the math (adding 1 & 2) I get this:  3)  In this case I whole-heartedly believe the police version of events.

Memo to Brian Dixon:  Who Dat?  Dat the Popo!  See you in Court jackwagon.
