Meet 37 y/o Michelle Novak. That’s her mug shot below…
Per a Pinellas County, Florida Arrest Affidavit (which you can see below and read closer up by clicking here) and Michelle was arrested on Thursday, September 17th, 2015 in Dunedin, Florida by Pinellas County Deputy Sheriff’s after they viewed digital footage of her sneaking up from behind her estranged husband, Michael Novak, and striking him in the testicles as he was reaching into his vehicle to unbuckle the kids for a child visitation exchange.
Not surprisingly the couple are reportedly in the midst of a heated divorce and child custody battle. After showing Deputies the GoPro video footage Michael explained that he records pretty much everything involving Michelle “due to issues in the past with incidents like this.”
Michelle was charged with domestic battery (which is a misdemeanor in Florida) and has a “stay away” order precluding any contact at all with her soon-to-be-ex.
Memo to Michelle: Just because you want to punch someone in the dick doesn’t mean that you should punch someone in the dick
Memo to Michelle continued: One of the guiding principals of divorce court (although we call it “dissolution of marriage” in Florida) is that the parties have “clean hands”. The “clean hands doctrine” essentially holds that a person who comes into court seeking relief from the court must be free from unfair conduct… i.e. the person must have “clean hands”, or must not have done anything wrong. I might be mistaken but using your filthy paws to sneakily smack your husband in the nads while he’s trying to turn the kids over to your for visitation probably runs counter to this basis tenet. It may have felt good – perhaps justified or even “right” – in the moment, but I am gonna go out on a limb here and predict that your lack of control and self-discipline will cost you significantly at the time of Final Judgement in your dissolution of marriage case.
