Some folks should not be parents (if you don’t believe me perhaps you’ll believe the image below…).
As is the case with the unnamed 27 y/o California woman who smashed her car into a LA fire hydrant…
… and bailed from the vehicle, fleeing on foot, leaving a trail of wreckage in her wake.
But apart from the spewing geyser when she fled the scene of the accident she also left behind her 2 y/o toddler, strapped into the back seat of her car, and a Los Angeles police officer has now become an online sensation after a video surfaced of him comforting the little boy (you can see the video by clicking here).
When LAPD officer John Neal Cooke arrived at the crash scene he believed that only one person had been involved, but when another officer discovered the little boy inside of the vehicle Officer Cooke sprung into action. The video shows Officer Cooke scooping up the scared boy and comforting him. When asked Officer Cooke said that he grew up in a big family so it was instinctual for him to pick up the child. Per the Hero in Blue: “He was crying and reaching for me, so I mean it’s kind of just human nature. I’ve been taking care of kids since I was kid. It was pretty shocking to think not only did she leave him at all but the fact she left him in such a dangerous situation… It was really comforting to us that we were able to be there for him.”
The unnamed intoxicated mother was arrested nearby and, sadly, the child was taken to a hospital and then placed in the custody of the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Service.
When it comes to the subject of drinking and driving, the best advice that you are ever going to hear is: “Don’t do it! Get a DD (Designated Driver), not a DUI”.
Be smart{er than this douche baggerous mother}: Don’t drink and drive, but, if you do, just say “NO{thing}”, don’t blow (in FL your 2nd subsequent refusal is a crime) and call me stat at 305-381-8686, 305-798-2220 or 1-888-SHARK-8-1.
