Try as I might I can’t find a picture of 33 y/o Baytown, Texas Police Officer and SWAT Team member Michael Coppock (but that below is a pic from the Baytown Sun on January 15, 2013 when members of the Baytown SWAT Team had converged on a home where a man was reportedly attempting to commit suicide, and perhaps Coppock is one of those para-military clad officers)…
Regardless, Officer Coppock is presently the subject of a criminal investigation, after an 18 y/o motorist, whom he had cited for both speeding and an expired registration came forward and reportedly provided (other) police with proof that less than one hour after the traffic stop Coppock contacted her on social media (Instagram) and offered to change the tickets to warnings if the teen would send him naked pictures of herself.
The serious allegations against Coppock were laid out in search warrants and other documents, wherein investigators report that they reviewed screen shots of the conversations between Coppock and the teenager, screen shots which were reportedly described by authorities as being “clearly coercive and putting pressure on the teen to send the pictures.” And eventually, after enough pressure was applied, the teen sent nude pics to Coppock, and at least one of her tickets was, reportedly, dismissed.
Coppock is, rightfully, the target of both criminal and internal affairs investigations. While he has been pulled from patrol duty during the investigation Coppock reportedly remains active as a SWAT team member. Personally I hope it does not turn out that the Baytown Police Department…

Memo to the Folks continued: I have no idea whether Coppock engaged in this incredibly disturbing (not to fail to mention illegal) conduct or not, but the proof – in the form of seemingly irrefutable social media evidence – is damning.
