Off Duty New Jersey Cop, who is a Presumed Repeat Drink Driver, this time Kills 2 & Severely Injures Another Meet 27 y/o (pretty much guaranteed soon-to-be-former) Linden, New Jersey Police Officer since 2008 Pedro… Scroll down to read more!

Meet 27 y/o (pretty much guaranteed soon-to-be-former) Linden, New Jersey Police Officer since 2008 Pedro Abad, Jr., that’s him below…

And here he is, in uniform, posting a “selfie” to Instagram…

And here’s another Abad Instagram moment….

What’s in the mason jar Pedro?  I’m betting an adult beverage.  Maybe something with a little of this (which also from your Instagram page)…

That last pic, the one above of the three (3) filled Jack Daniel’s shooters, was posted to Abad’s Instagram page on March 20th, 2015, just a few hours before he crashed his personal vehicle, head-on and while traveling in the wrong direction, into a semi-tractor-trailer.   The picture, which Abad himself had presumably and fatefully posted on his Instagram page was identified as “Jack Daniels Fire on the house.”   The crash caused minor injuries to the truck driver but killed two (2) of Abad’s passengers, Officer Frank Viggiano, pictured below and now deceased at age 28…

and also deceased at age 28 is Abad’s friend Joe Rodriguez (who not pictured).  Severely injured in the accident was Abad’s third passenger, 23 y/o Officer Patrik Kudlac (pictured below) who, together with Abad himself, was in critical but stable condition following the crash.

The kicker (apart from being a cop who was boneheaded enough to drink and drive, and who’s judgment was so obviously impaired as to post evidence thereof on Instagram for a prosecutor, Judge and Jury to consider) is that in October, 2013 Abad was arrested for, yes, you guessed it, DUI, in another accident case.

How Abad remained a cop after a DUI/accident arrest and prosecution is both beyond me and a testament to New Jersey law enforcement certification standards, but there he was, still a sworn Linden, N.J. Police Officer, notwithstanding his DUI conviction, loss of driver license from October, 2013 to March, 2014 and mandatory ignition interlock device until September, 2014 (apparently on his own personal, and not his patrol, car… assuming that he didn’t have a “take home” car), when he killed two (2) of his friends, critically injured two (2) others (including himself – yes that counts as an additional charge against him) and non-critically injuring a fifth (5th – the semi driver).

Meantime, a driver history check reveals that, before this last incident and apart from his prior DUI, the 27 y/o cop had had eight (8) traffic accidents (including one (1) in between his 2013 DUI and the immediate incident) and had also been cited for driving with a cellphone in August 2012, yet there he was, in March. 2015, on the Linden payroll as a sworn police officer.  Anyone can make a mistake (I don’t care how mindful you are, if you drink and drive but for the grace of _____ you could get yourself a DUI and, if you have the bad luck to have an accident at the time, and should some unfortunate soul die, well, then things will get real dark real quick in your world) but cops (and judges and prosecutors – those who have chosen to swear to uphold and enforce the law) have to be held to a higher standard.

Apart from his apparent reckless driving pattern (anyone who has nine (9) accidents by age 27 is either reckless or the unluckiest driver on the planet) and his apparent drinking problem (anyone with multiple DUI’s has a drinking problem) soon-to-be-ex-officer Abad suffers from judgment problems also, as evidenced by his Instagram posts (I only saw what was reported, who knows what will surface after the prosecuting authority starts to dig through Abad’s various social media).  Memo to the Folks:  Beware Social Media and see “Haber’s Rules of Social Media # 1 – 5”, which you can read right here!
When it comes to the subject of drinking and driving, the best advice that you are ever going to hear is:  “Don’t do it!  Get a DD (Designated Driver), not a DUI”.

Be smart{er than soon-to-be-former Linden, New Jersey Police Officer Pedro Abad, Jr.}: Don’t drink and drive, but, if you do, just say “NO{thing}”, don’t blow (in FL your 2nd subsequent refusal is a crime) and call me stat at 305-381-8686, 305-798-2220, **ARRESTED, **305DUI, **MIAMIDUI, **MIAMILAW or **HABERLAW.
