Meet 41 y/o Kevin Kroll of Dunbar Township, Pennsylvania. That’s his mug shot below.
Even after reading multiple articles I’m not entirely certain that I understand the “how” and “why” of this story, but still, I’ll do my best. It appears that Kevin showed up at the Uniontown Police Department on February 20, 2015 to be processed for a DUI incident which had occurred on January 9, 2015, and when he did so (in February) he had also been driving while legally intoxicated. The pic below is in-station surveillance of Kevin being fingerprinted on February 20th for the January 9th DUI incident.
Per Uniontown Police Kevin arrived at and walked into the precinct intoxicated and smelling of alcohol on February 20th. As the receiving officer smelled alcohol on Kevin he was given a breath test, which was followed by a blood test, both of which showed that Kevin was legally intoxicated. But it wasn’t until months later, on June 4th, 2015 that a warrant was issued for DUI (and public drunkenness) stemming from the February 20th incident, as a happenstance and later look at the surveillance tapes revealed that Kevin had driven up to the station in his Chevy pickup truck on February 20th while intoxicated.
Per Uniontown Police Lt. Tom Kolencik: “His original charge was a DUI and then to come in intoxicated. It’s very disrespectful to the judicial system, to law enforcement.” Memo to the Uniontown PD: Um, yeah… do you think? Given the judgment call (in driving to the Police Station smashed) my money is on Kevin having a pretty significant drinking problem. Whether he does or does not have a drinking problem Kevin definitely has a pretty significant “Judge problem”. Memo to Kevin: When it comes to the subject of drinking and driving, the best advice that you are ever going to hear is: “Don’t do it! Get a DD (Designated Driver), not a DUI”.
