Tara is a working mom who tends bar at “the Brass Tap”, an establishment on State Road 54 in Pasco County, Florida.
It seems that Tara confused Wednesday, June 10th with Thursday, April 23rd, 2015 – which was “Take Your Kids to Work Day”….
It also seems that Tara is a little confused about the whole concept of “taking your kids to work”, and that she has a seriously warped sense of the same…
In this case Tara took her kids to work with her but she proceeded to leave them unattended and inside of her car in the parking lot, along with Oxycodone pills which were reportedly found inside of the vehicle near where the one (1) y/o was seated.
Again, Oxycodone pills were reportedly found inside the vehicle near where the one (1) y/o sitting and, incident to her arrest for child neglect, a glass pipe with residue testing positive for cocaine was also found inside of Tara’s purse, resulting in a additional charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputies reported that Tara told them that she could not find a babysitter and that this was the first time that she’d ever left the children in the vehicle. Memo to Tara: Righteous moves there Tara… NOT! Although you left the car running (so the kids were apparently not suffocating) this remains an Epic Parenting FAIL! I applaud you for being a working mother but I must ask: Is this how you feed / fed your kids?
My advise: After you bond out you can expect a call from DCF. If I were you I’d batten down the hatches and get ready for a nasty storm. In my opinion (and admittedly only knowing what I have read in many news articles) your best bet is a seriously heartfelt Mia Culpa. If I were your lawyer I’d be advising you to admit your shortcomings as a working parent and to ask for help. There is nothing that those DCF douche bags (and the Dependency Court Judges) want to hear more than that you have problems, that you recognize them and that you are amenable to treatment theretofore.
