Tim may well be the most honest cop ever.
Q: Why may Tim well be the most honest cop ever?
A: Because his assignment with the Haines City PD is to handle the painstaking desk job of review red light cameras and issuing traffic tickets for violators.
In mid-September, while reviewing traffic cameras from September 8th, 2016, Tim saw himself, in his marked police squad car, on his way back to the police station from lunch, making a left turn after a light had already turned red…
Tim, who has issued red light tickets for his own friends, family members and coworkers, was genuinely shocked at his own transgression, reportedly saying: “Holy smoke, it was me.” Rather than burying the footage Tim forwarded the film to his supervisor, who slapped him with the $158 citation.
Per Tim: “I’ve always been taught that if you’ve done something wrong, to take responsibility for what you’ve done and accept your punishment”. After joking about his lunch trip by saying “That was the most expensive Cuban sandwich I’ve ever bought”, Tim also said that “It was just me in a hurry to get back to doing what I was supposed to be doing. I fell into that rut of follow the leader instead of looking at the light. I made a left with the truck, and the rest is history.”
Memo to Officer Tim Glover: I applaud your integrity and honesty. I really do. But of all folks you should know that the 5th Amendment provides that you cannot be compelled to be a witness against yourself. My advise: INVOKE!
