And when it happens how does this douche-baggery make you feel? Personally, I know that I want to smash out a window with a bat, but I also know that I cannot do that, so I carry these little ditties for such occasions…
(I have seen these – albeit online – but I don’t use them, because the turtle is a lot easier to explain to my 11 y/o son….)
But I digress…. Instagram’s “the_roughjeep”, a/k/a “Constantin M”, Oregon resident, founder of “OffroadAutoParts.net” and self-proclaimed Jeep enthusiast, struck a fabulous victory (on video, which you can watch by clicking here) for all disgruntled would-be-parkers when he and another Jeep driver decided to teach a Mercedes Benz driver who rudely took 2 parking spots a life lesson. You can see the Benz below, taking up 2 spots, parked center line at Best Buy, and there’s “RoughJeep” backed in on his driver’s side.
Then comes another Jeep, who backs in to the Benz’s passenger side, making it impossible for the Benz driver to open either of his doors
The Jeeps intentionally park as close as is possible to the sides of the Benz, making an obvious statement to the Benz’s driver, then they leave their vehicles, the cameraman is heard remarking “let’s go wait for the guy to come back”, they hide behind a nearby car and in some bushes recording the incident and wait to see what the Benz’s driver does when he sees his car.
When he arrives he surveys the scene, walking around one jeep, squeezing himself in between the passenger side of his car and a Jeep, tries to open the passenger door, and then his frustration becomes readily apparent.
He re-assesses the situation from behind, flailing his arms in the air, as is he is the victim here (as opposed to being the self-righteous seemingly entitled ass clown that he in fact is…).
With no apparent recourse the wrongfully indignant douche bag lashes out, kicking a tire on each of the Jeeps, to no effect.
But then, in a ray of brilliance, the Benz driver pops his hatch back, climbs inside, struggles to get over over his rear seats (as the Jeep drivers are heard laughing on tape)…
Memo to the Folks: The Video was posted with the comment “Lesson is learned. Teaching that Mercedes driver how to park.”. I do not know whether the video was “real” or set-up (how does one ever really know) but I do know that either way it was awesome and that bad / inconsiderate parking is an epidemic, and that revenge is a dish best served cold. Props to Constantin M for his humorous and intelligent plan (he deserves the nearly 16,000 Instagram views to date, 2,300 shares and 1,700 likes on Facebook and more than 10,000 views on YouTube).
